जेष्ठ अभिनेते शशी कपूर यांचे काल मुंबईत ७९व्या वर्षी दीर्घ आजाराने निधन झाले. त्यामुळे त्यांना सर्व स्थरातून श्रद्धांजली वाहण्यात येत आहे. यात क्रिकेटपटूंनी देखील ट्विटरवरून त्यांच्या निधनाबद्दल दुःख व्यक्त केले आहे.
शशी कपूर यांचा “मेरे पास माँ हैं” हा अमिताभ बच्चन बरोबरचा संवाद आजही सर्वांच्या लक्षात आहे. त्यांनी आत्तापर्यंत १४८ हिंदी सिनेमे तर १२ इंग्लिश सिनेमांमध्ये अभिनय केला होता. तसेच त्यांना दादासाहेब फाळके पुरस्कार आणि पद्मभूषण पुरस्कारानेही सन्मानित करण्यात आले आहे.
शशी कपूर यांना भारतीय क्रिकेटपटू वीरेंद्र सेहवाग, युवराज सिंग, व्ही व्ही एस लक्ष्मण यांच्याबरोबरच रमीझ राजा या पाकिस्तानी खेळाडुनेही एक आठवण सांगत श्रद्धांजली वाहिली आहे. सेहवागने त्यांच्या “मेरे पास माँ हैं” या वाक्याची आठवण करून देत आपल्या वेगळ्या शैलीत श्रद्धांजली वाहिली आहे.
