या सामन्यात राजस्थान रॉयल्सने प्रथम फलंदाजी करत 20 षटकांत 6 बाद 154 धावा केल्या होत्या. प्रत्युत्तरादाखल सनरायझर्स हैदराबादने 19 व्या षटकात केवळ दोन गडी गमावून विजय मिळविला. मनीष पांडेने केलेल्या 83 धावांच्या खेळीमुळे त्याला सामनावीर पुरस्काराने गौरवण्यात आहे.
हैदराबादचे सलामीवीर जॉनी बेयरस्टो आणि डेविड वॉर्नर डावाच्या सुरुवातीलाच बाद झाले होते. अष्टपैलू विजय शंकर आणि मनीष पांडे यांनी तिसऱ्या गड्यासाठी 140 धावांची महत्वपूर्ण भागीदारी केली. विजय शंकरने 52 धावांची खेळी करून या विजयात मोलाची कामगिरी पार पडली.
राजस्थान संघातर्फे कोणताच फलंदाज अधिक काळ खेळपट्टीवर टिकू शकला नाही. राजस्थानचा युवा फलंदाज संजू सॅमसनने सर्वाधिक 36 धावा केल्या.
हा हैदराबादचा या हंगामातील चौथा विजय होता. या विजयानंतर हैदराबाद गुणतालिकेत 5 व्या स्थानी आला आहे. हैदराबादचा पुढील सामना 24 ऑक्टोबरला पंजाबशी होईल.
